According to the officials of the department, only 80 percent power has been restored in the valley by working day and night. The power department claims that the department is ready to meet any weather challenge.

During this time 700 transformers and more than 6000 electric poles were damaged. 690 transformers that supply power to residential areas were damaged. There are more than 29 thousand transformers installed in Kashmir.
